BM Floors Makes Cleaning A Breeze
BM Laminate Flooring is manufactured very durably, which makes maintaining and cleaning them quite easy, but there still are a few do’s and Don’ts on taking care of your laminate flooring and keeping it look great for the years to come.First thing you should know that moisture and wood don’t mix, and since our Laminate is made with wood, avoiding its exposure to the moisture is must.
Here is a little crash course on clean laminate flooring.
Cleaning Laminate Floors;
·
Do not use
steam cleaners or moist mops that can harm your floor irreparably.
·
Use a
moist tissue to block out spills as quickly as they occur. Do not let liquids
stand on your ground.
·
Use an
acetone/ nail polish remover on a smooth white cloth for hard places like oil,
paint, markers, lipstick, ink, or tar. Then wipe the region off the rest of the
residue with a moist cloth.
·
Sweep,
dust or vacuum the floor regularly with the hard floor attachment, to avoid
dirt and grain accumulation that can scratch or dull the floor finish.
·
Clean
the floor periodically with
specially designed cleaning products.
·
Do not
wash or wet the ground with soap, water, soap oil or other cleaning liquids.
Swelling, tangling, delamination, and joint lining separation could result and
the guarantee could be void.
·
Avoid
using steel wool, abrasive cleaners, or cleaners with high amounts of ammonia
or chlorination.
·
Do not use
any sort of buffer and polishing machine in your laminate floors.
·
For Stains like candlesticks or chewing gums,
harden the place with ice and scrape it softly with plastic scraper like a
credit card, for example, please make sure you don’t scratch the floor. Wipe clean with a damp cloth.
·
A more
frequent dust-mopping or vacuuming schedule may be required in very sandy areas
such as a beachside home.
